Several days ago I wrote the beta wars – an article about Beta teaching us a lesson about waiting when 2 similar technologies come out at the same time.
My parting comment in that article was
So thank-you Beta. For your sacrifice and for showing us how to react to new tech. And I hope that the developers were not the ones behind HD-DVD…
